No. RC has explained this before and I may get it wrong, but I don't think he can apply for the medical redshirt until his eligibility is spent.

what I hear is a coach talking upbeat about every player by name. A coach who points out that you do not build program with JVs . A coach who points out that the sophomores have played more than the seniors. A coach who is excited and proud of his staff ( how did we get such a great staff with no money). A coach who is recruiting for the future of the program, 5 of top 50 players in state last year. Coach said friday we needed offensive recruits, tight ends , WR O line etc last yr. He said we need Defense recruits next yr. He said we will Blitz like crazy this year ( most coaches do not spread that info)- He said we have not built a team with La Players and he will focus on relationships with La schools. Not sure I understand "coach speak" , cliches by definition are simple truths repeated so often they are, well, cliches. What is excessive to those of us who hear him less than 1-2 hrs a year at fund raisers, alumn meeting etc. ?? Excessive?? is bet 70% of BBB readers have heard him speak less than 30 minutes total. You got to tone down your hatred of our coach. Yeah--hatred , you have called him stupid--pretty hard to believe you could ever be unbaised about Coach. I do not consider myself a Tech Fan--I consider myself a 50 yr Supporter of Tech, for better or worse.

actually they have a life. Most are incredibly successfull older folks and can not understand why I waste my time. Ie, Pat just got back from week in Scotland Golfing after spending week with me in 10 days with me in Australia and taking wife to Madrid /Paris for anniversary. He and wife then went on Croatia cruise with his family --private charter. He also has home in New Orleans. My friend Bob still reads BBB but will not post-- He flys to several games a year, make all the Texas and La games. Volunteers at VA, takes care of his mother(90s)-father recenly died. Served his country for 30 years --. Oh, Bob has been a Basketball and Football season ticket holder forever. Both these guys are generous to Tech. Neither are pansies, giving you a break here--assume you are just being sarcastic , otherwise I would post and be blacklisted. When was last time you saw .... decided to delete the 5 who come to mind

Oh--the reason I "waste my time" 1. several BBB folks have great info to share 2. several have great insights into our football/basketball teams 3. Its just a handfull of overposters ridiculing evry coach we have ever had since the 70s . And at end of day, I have down time waiting for a few returned calls -- so still enjoy BBB. In evening have my I-pad and enjoy BBB. I have several Tech supporters I enjoy reading

I know, one of them called Coach stupid and I unloaded my opinion-- thread was immediately removed. easy to sit at computer and say things you would never say to someones face ( Coaches) -- I pretty much have lived my life being optomistic and positive-- a few of these folks remind me of my x-wife , ultra negative and whiney

At the end of the day it's just a message board. I try not to take it too seriously. Do I sometimes wonder "What in the crap were they thinking?" Yep, quite often. However, I love free speech and the exercise of it. I want everyone to be able to have their voices heard, no matter whether I agree or not. After all, if they're on this board they're probably big Tech supporters (except from the trolls from a few other schools not to be named.) And if your friends are reading, hats of to them, we need a lot more of them. And keep posting 65, I like reading your stuff , even when you go off on me for being negative :icon_wink:

All I can say is I've argued and disagreed vehemently with moderators here, MD in particular and he has treated me with nothing but respect. He/They might criticize one of my posts or ideas but they never criticize me. I've always been treated fairly.
