Back in the 1960's I occassionally heard it called Jolly Lolly Polly.

Been going to Tech football/basketball for 50 years.
Have zero idea what this thread is about--- personally never heard anyone say anything but Lousiana Tech....NEVER been around a group of Tech supporters who used anything but "Tech" . Hopefully I will be able to get to sleep tonite without worrying about this
Must never been out of state. Folks call us Lah Tech (which is acceptable to me). They have seen our abbreviated name in publication or on TV as La Tech. I see where they get it. As for shorthanding our name in print media, the standard abbreviation of "La" looks better and it promotes the right pronunciation of the shorthand.
Example: Ole Miss ain't Ole MS. UMass isn't U MA.
"La Tech" is part our brand now, and I've completely embraced it. Who cares what they call us, so long as they're talking about us.
Don't want to argue but I have probably "been out of state" more than anyone you know. For over 30 yrs I have averaged 3 weeks outside USA and 5 weeks split between NY-Chicago_San Fran . flown out to game in San Diego-L.A-Boise bowl and Boise Game-Fla State -Army Navy Old Dominion
Know my way around New York --speak enough Italian and French to get by -- Don't like Spain.
Walked great wall China with Grandaughter --she loves all of Italy-Ok with France but prefers London. Spent week of August in Alaska and couple day Canada
Met Friend of Rhinodawg in Daintree rainforest I am going to Australia for 3 weeks in March Did the New Zealand lord of Rings adventure last year-- I have been to Rome-Paris-Florence-London - Venice so many times I have lost track BUT still never heard anyone say LAH
slightly off on the "never been out of state "
Almost got you beat :P Spent 48 weeks in UK, 3 weeks in Bolivia, 2 weeks in Italy, 1.5 week in France (Paris/Marseilles), 1 week in Mexico (Cancun), 1 week in Turkey (Istanbul/Troy), 1 week in Ecuador, 1 week in Canada (Montreal/Toronto), 1 week in Greece 5 days in Israel, 3 days in Austria (Vienna), 3 days in Hungary (Budapest), 3 days in Czech Republic (Prague), 3 days in Bosnia (Sarajevo), 1 days in Vatican City, and 1 day in San Marino.
Yes.
There is a medicine up here called Gravol that helps with nausea. If you take one it will put you to sleep in minutes.
I've hated the Lah Tech since they first started using it in the 90's. In state I say Tech, out of state I say Louisiana Tech. No need for anything else.
I told Dooley it sounded like something Pepe Le Pew would call us.
