Our receivers will cause defensive back coaches to worry about their jobs. Opposing teams just won't have the athletes to cover our threats.

And this will allow us to gash the teams for 20 yard+ runs. It is going to be nasty.

I do share LFR's concern about the secondary. If the offense does what it should, we can win with an average overall defense. But, there are always those games that you have a bad offensive game & things are just not clicking.

Just gotta hope that Franklin calls the plays for our team to win the game and not to show off "the system" like he did in the 2nd half of our bowl game.

BTW, what did Franklin think about the way his offense played in the spring game? Did anybody let him know how they played?

I think you can forget about Burch. He's never going to be the starting QB as long as he skips spring training. There'll be 3 guys going at it for the starting QB position next year and Burch won't be one of them if he's playing baseball. As far as Young goes, look at what Colby has done. He's turned into a very good QB in his last 2 years.

And THAT...as Paul Harvey would say....is the rest of the story!!!!!

We're finally going to have HIGH OCTANE offense.

Yep....the entire Spring Game was played at the speed of a 2 minute drill!!! That is awsome. The defensive guys we play better be in good physical shape and stay hydrated or they will be carted off the field.

You're right about Miller being ahead of Bradshaw on the all-district and all-city team,but, Miller went to Vanderbilt and was never heard of after that. Trey Prather, who was the QB at Woodlawn before Bradshaw, is the one that went to LSU, dropped out, and was killed in Vietnam.

You know you can't voice concern without everyone on here thinking you're criticizing. No where did I say I wasn't glad that Scotty Young was coming to Tech. Just hoping he turns out better than the majority of other transfers, but you would have thought I called him a serial criminal or something.

I am pretty sure that most of us understand that 2012 is the year where "the rubber better meet the road." A BCS game with BCS money, increased attendance, merchandise sales & giving increases the odds that SD & majority of staff stay. Anything less but > than 8 wins exponentially reduces those odds. JB III had the pedigree & did not produce, DD had the pedigree & did not produce as a HC (but did as a rookie AD), SD is producing. Both in recruiting & winning. Maybe he will become our Peterson (BSU) if treated appropriately. It doesn't take 4 million a year to live in Ruston & be happy!
