This is going to be...interesting.
Will this be the highest ranked opponent to visit Ruston? I'm assuming they're still ranked #1 in two weeks.

There’s not much time between now and then to get everything on track and represent ourselves well. The last thing we need is another quasi national exposure embarrassment like our bowl flop was. Unfortunately these are the spotlight moments that Tech has historically squandered. Maybe 2021 will be enough of a different year to change that trend, fingers crossed we get in a groove using McNeese to hone our skills.

Scoreless through 3.
Tech has gotten the leadoff batter on in each inning, but not even a sniff of scoring position yet.
4th inning not so good. Hogs get 3.
Tech got two on but stranded them.
Crooked number time for Tech in the 5th with a 4.
Bates 2-run triple tied it and a Netterville sac fly put Tech ahead 4-3.
Lead lasted one out as Fincher gives up his second dinger of the game. Tie game at 4-4 after the solo shot. Fincher did strike out the side in the 6th.
Garcia doubles followed by Brantley and Corona singles to put Tech back ahead 5-4 after 6.
Brantley gets late start on passed ball and is thrown out at home.
That out at home hurt me. Thought we had it.
Tech gets out of a jam in the top of the 7th, aided by a correct runner's interference call on a bunt. Runner was well inside the baseline and was hit by the throw to first.
Stretching with Tech up 5-4.
Brantley 2-run single scores Bates and Netterviile to make it 7-4 Tech after 7.
Whew.
That twice now that Parker Bates should have left for home, but didn't.
