I keep saying this, but all that has to happen is for ULM to start calling themselves University of Louisiana. At that point, all networks will start having to distinguish the two and UL becomes Lafayette.
You 'know'? Previously one of you said that all of our money was from the Primate Center's work on covid, now it's from wetlands.
Our 2019 research in engineering alone was larger than your campus-wide research budget.
Some of you here insist that everything we do is cheating & corruption. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean you can make up whatever you want to believe.

Tech was making steady progress, including growing the research budget, under Reneau. But Guice has done absolutely nothing but tread water. After back to back good presidents with a vision, Taylor and Reneau, Tech laid an egg with Guice who just draws a paycheck.
LOL! They never have been the brightest bulbs in the lamp down in the Atchafalaya Basin, but at least they're producing some results. That's more than I see for many other Louisiana schools.
So they're busting at the gut to worry about what "Ruston" thinks of the new Carnegie Designation for UL-Lafayette. Here's what this "RUSTON" guy thinks:
As a Louisiana TAXPAYER, I am happy to see that UL-Lafayette is actually pulling its weight as a state university in Louisiana. There are about 6-8 others who aren't ranked AT. ALL. ANYWHERE.
Instead of, "hey this proves my school is better than yours" let's ask the question this way...If you take LSU, UL-Lafayette, LaTech, and UNO out of the research and development equation, what are the rest of our state schools doing with the taxpayer money they get?
