Is he going or staying?
Non-seniors have until Jan. 15 to declare for this year's draft.

think he was playing with injuries and getting a lot of double team-- his numbers were down a bit but still first team CUSA - if he stays another year and gets his production close to 2016 he would go higher in the draft-- I felt the same about Henderson last year and he bailed --- this is not an answer to your question, just my opinion
Since he played in the bowl game and didn't bail like so many others then, he might stay.
His best year was his freshman year. Just imagine how good he could have been had our S&C trainer had another year with him.
It looks like the experts are recommending Ferguson come back for his final year of college.
According to this site, Ferguson is ranked as the 23rd best NFL draft pick at DE. A middle to late round pick at best in 2018.

I agree, come back Jaylon. Have a super great senior year and enhance your draft prospects.
I really believe he will stay. Hopefully, he has some good advisors on this. It would benefit him greatly!
Jaylon Ferguson*, DE, Louisiana Tech
Height: 6-5. Weight: 255.
Projected 40 Time: 4.72.
Projected Round (2018): 4-6.
1/13/18: In 2017, Ferguson recorded 39 tackles with seven sacks and 9.5 tackles for a loss. Sources say that Ferguson didn't have a great year and should return to school for 2018. They have Ferguson as a mid- to late-rounder for the 2018 NFL Draft if he does declare.
9/1/17: Ferguson had a huge 2016 season as he racked up 14.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, two passes broken up, 16 tackles for a loss and 49 tackles. Ferguson impressed as a freshman as well with six sacks, 35 tackles and two forced fumbles. He could stand to get stronger for the NFL, but he could be an exciting prospect for the 2018 or 2019 NFL Draft.
I guess he didn’t declare since Jan. 15 has come and gone without a word.
This is GREAT news for LA Tech. With Ferguson, LA Tech should have one of the best DE's in the country in 2018, and one with a big chip on his shoulder. He needs a BIG year in 2018, so it will be "put up or shut up" time for Ferguson's NFL chances. We could be in for a HUGE year from Ferguson.
Doubled and undressed with all the holding! Having a senior moment and can't remember his name, but our DE from about 5 years ago who was drafted/signed by the NY Giants. He was held, and blatantly, every play. It was comical to see his teammates helping him get his jersey straight before the next play.
