Congrats to Evangel for their Division I state championship!
Evangel 38 Scotlandville 6
The Eagles finished on a rush! Great defense. Wait! what? Ya mean the team playing the best defense won the championship? Who'd a thunk it!?
Now, is there another Trent Taylor there we can pick up?
The Charging Buccaneers rolled up 500 yards of total offense and blasted West Monroe, 50-21. It was Keytaon Thompson’s show for the Chargin’ Bucs as the Mississippi State commitment completed 16-27 for 303 yards and amassed a total of 473 yards and six scores on the way to MVP honors.
“I been at West Monroe for over 30 years, and that kid is the best QB we’ve played,” West Monroe coach Jerry Arledge said regarding Thompson. “If we played them 10 times, they’d beat us 10 times as long as No. 5 is the quarterback.”
So, we get to see this Thompson guy twice now when we play Moo State, nice. He was a man among boys. How did Moo State get this guy? Oh, that's right, Bama and LSU don't recruit good QBs.
Oh! I like that WM kid Taylor Young! Slated to baseball at Tech, but I'd like to see him on the gridiron too.
The Tors just went stupid and slacked off when they got the big lead at 28-6
But give credit to Logansport - they kept plugging along and got back in the ballgame and when they got ole Mo on their side they took it to the Tors
Very good ballgame
I'm interest to see how the Tors bounce back losing the way they did with the # of seniors they lost

I wish Keytaon Thompson would have decommitted from Mississippi State. He actually enrolled early and participated in some of State's bowl practices. He made enough of an impression to where he might get some early playing time.
Three schools in Orleans Parish - Karr, Landry-Walker, and St. Aug combined to produce 26 Division I signees.
