Holtz kept Tech competitive for many years. You're all going to be very sorry. Tough years ahead for Tech. Get ready for what will become known as the Dark Ages of Tech football.

We are already 2 years into the dark ages thanks to Holtz. Funny how the Holtz fans want us all to forget the past two years and ignore the future possibilities
Because its not “the Dark Ages.” You and others are being nonsensical with this wording.
From outsider perspective it was 1 bad season. This is why some of the fans are cautious about the fire. This is why on reddit, facebook, twitter, and pretty much any other forum that isnt here where much of the same sentiment is circulated- you still have some people think its a bad move or at least bad timing for this move. Some people simply think Tech overreacted.
One thing is clear, Its not a good 3 year trajectory. Wood said as much. But Tech is not going to be damaged by one bad season. Stop acting like we’ve had a sub-3 win total for 10 years. This is nothing.
Its not the Dark Ages for one simple fact, we still have talent. A good coach could make a dramatic turnaround in one year with what we still have on the roster.
No, thats what I’d call “Dark Ages.”
Extended failure. Not one year with a losing record. If we make the right hire this year is just a hiccup. Like SicemDawgz said, we have talent. We need to retain it, build on it, and use it.
Brando is just stupid, everyone knows that.
No it wasnt. But for multiple reasons, aside from simply just coaching. We had aweful luck with cancellations, players catching the sickness, and some injuries on top of coaching issues.
And that all looked somewhat resolved when this season began… until the 4th quarter. We couldnt get over the hump and win a decent game before the bye. It all fell out afterwards.
6-14 in the last 20 games after the 2-0 start in 2020 is the dark ages. That's TWO bad seasons (3-5 finish plus 3-9). Way too many non-competitive games over that stretch not to mention the 5 come-from-ahead 4th quarter losses in those games.
If Tech had won at least 4 of those 5 4th quarter collapses over that stretch, there wouldn't be anything to discuss. But that is who Skippy is, so we are.

I want to hear MUCH more about what ULM fans think we should do. They have SO much winning experience to speak from.
Stop feeding the troll...that stupidmel is an ulm fan or something. Yes, 4-8 is new heights for the chickenhawks and they are all giddy about it. But, just do not respond to the moron.
Assuming we have a good hire under our belt, we really gotta attract them to the first game. Hopefully he can hook them then and make the rest of the games easier to attract.
Look at some big giveaways for the first game. We know of a guy who owns car/atv dealerships. Have some specifically for students only, like tuition discount prizes. Meal plan prizes. Housing prizes, voucher for upgrading to a newer dorm/apartment for a year or something. And maybe a concert. Make this feel like we are refreshing the approach to gameday. Remove time constraints for tailgating.
