With no draftees The University of Louisiana was 82 in D and 29 in O. And thats with losing the starting QB and facing a Top 5 D at Florida. We can throw stats all you want but if you are going to hang your hat on your NFL draft, you better come stronger than that.
Noticed you didnt mention a bowl appearance. Even your cousins to the East can claim that.
I'm not impressed with your stats. As for the bowl game, I hate it for the players, but a minor bowl is more about the city making money than anything else.
I knew we were bad on defense but didn't realize we were dead last. Part of that ranking relates to their having to defend numerous possessions b/c of our fast-paced offense.
I don't know if stomping ULM in a bowl would have helped make our season any better. (Yes, I am being serious.)
Not gonna happen. Not this year, and by next year Texas State will have leap frogged both Ark St and ULL. No, you guys are stuck in the Sunbelt.

T1-Are you kidding? We had a nice little paycheck after expenses and the team and fans had a great time. Really good for community building within the program. Take off the blue glasses, get your head out of your butt. Its nice out here.

That's cool and all, but I thought you were trying to say that Tech's team not going to a bowl game was some kind of reflection on how they played this season.
I was disappointed with Tech's defense last year. I kept thinking that, like the Saints, if the defense was just mediocre they would have gotten into a BCS bowl. I think Tech would have beaten Florida State instead of Northern Illinois laying an egg. Now I was lurking here for the bowl debacle..When you get an invitation...you accept. As far as the New Orleans Bowl, it is a BLAST. Who say's the Cajuns would go. Tech could play Arkansas State or some other Belt team in the New Orleans bowl. A bowl is a reward for players and fans. You want to get a bowl that you as a fan can attend and have fun. If you can't have fun in New Orleans with 40,000 of your teams fans then get the stick out of your ***.
No not at all. I dont think tech got jobbed as much as jobbed themselves. I felt really bad for the fans and especially the players. They worked their arses off and didnt get the reward they deserved. The Indy wasnt ideal but it was a bowl. We have had a couple of seasons that we feel should have been bowl worthy and didnt get an invite.
don-Agreed. If techs D, like the Saints, would have just been serviceable, both would have had MUCH better seasons. It is tough to have to outscore everyone every Saturday.
