Wasn't sure if this deserved its on thread. Don't like to gripe, but was irked when wathcing CUSA Showcase on Fox Sports Southwest. At the end of the show, they profiled some of the new teams coming into the conference. FIU and FAU highlighted their football program and economic impact on their communities. Our profile mentioned only two things. First, $200 million in campus improvements which only showed a picture of the clock tower in Centennial Plaza from back in 1994 and the Lady of the Mist. Second, they focused on the Lady Techsters, Leon Barmore, and our three championships. Nothing about our three NFL Hall of Famers. Nothing about Bulldogs football, nor any of the men's teams. It was weird and didn't come off very well. Even my wife said it was a major let down compared to the other schools.
I saw it. Our SIDs dropped the ball big time. Embarrassing.

From what I hear, it is the last year for Texarkana. We should be in the mix later.
Name another FBS top media relations staffer who has primary responsibilities for women's basketball and women's softball and does not have primary responsibilities for football, men's basketball, or baseball.

My comment was not related to performance. It was 100% aimed at placement (or misplacement) of priorities.
FWIW Vanderbilt's Director of Communications has bowling as his responsibility. And at Kentucky their #1 obviously handles men's basketball but the #2 helps with men's basketball while focusing on softball.
Placement is irrelevant because it is all hands on deck for football anyway.
I worked for that SID during college and can testify that he is overworked, underpaid and bleeds Tech Blue.
