We will have an undefeated season in football before we make the tournament in basketball.

At least they truly did compete, not bs coachspeak compete.
Yes. Our guys made me proud tonight, left it all on the court tonight. We came to play but just ran out of bullets in the end. We were outmanned but went toe-to-toe with this same team that pantsed us in Ruston a few weeks ago handing us our worst home loss in like a decade.
If we played with this effort and urgency every night, our record would've ended up a whole lot better.
Sorry, but that bolded part is ridiculous. Boykins lackluster? How so? Boykins only broke the Tech single season 3-point record about a month ago, breaking his own record he previously set last year. And Boykins ended up statistically tied with Lonnie Cooper as the best free throw shooter in Tech history at 92%. Boykins is who he is: a sharpshooter 3-and-D guy. I'm not sure who you expected him to be.
Yep. And with Harris quitting and Bracey hurt, so much of the offensive burden was placed on Boykins' shoulders so he had to force 3s because we had so little offense anywhere else in the lineup. And our opponents' knew it, and their top defensive priority was to not let Boykins catch the ball.
We need another Alex Hamilton who can drive and get fouls called. And we need a big man. We have point guards and we have small forwards.
Bracey can drive and get fouled. He just doesn't hit the FT

Yeah he's gotta hit better than 64%. Not that it would have helped last night. Going forward he needs to work on that.
The only issue I have with Day Day is that his shots get blocked often. Happened several times last night when he drove and there was no foul.
As much as I have been critical of the staff this year, I had very little to complain of last night.
The team played with passion and was awesome on the defensive end of the floor.
I do wish they had intentionally made Porter work on defense from the beginning by feeding Oliver in the low post. Porter was the biggest advantage ODU had on us and I would have liked to neutralize that as much as possible. He lost his cool and got a T for his 4th foul. If only, we could have removed him from the game completely....
My biggest concern is the same as it has been. Konkol has to lighten up and show some emotion. For his team and for his fanbase.
But for last night, his team laid it all out there. That is all we can ask for.
We can ask for a good coach and a good team. We probably won't get either, but we can ask.
I agree with the guys who saw maximum effort last night. I have no complaints. I do, however, have complaints about how we played for much of the season.
Have you considered those Dogs?
