This is a prime example of why I don’t like tournaments being the automatic bid into the NCAA. I think the regular season champion should be automatically in. That’s clearly the longer earned accomplishment. For one thing look at Tech in the tournament in them not having the catcher who played all year and a pitcher who didn’t do his class work. Granted Tech wasn’t even in the running but if they’d had a good year and won the regular season they would’ve lost the tournament and missed out on everything because of losing some players. That would be a shitty sandwich to swallow.

We hosted without winning the tourney 2 years ago. DBU is in without winning. Has the CUSA regular season champ ever been left out because they lost the tourney? Since we have been in the conference anyway?

Without the tournament in 2016 we don't get in...

An argument can be made that without the tournament last year we don't get in...

I don't mind the baseball conference tournament at all
