If FAU gets their MBB going they'll dominate the conference in every sport.
This fan prefers it too. There isn't much worse than a pitcher who takes all day to throw to 1st seven times, clean his cleats, peer into the dugout/at the catcher for a long minute, and then throw balls. Go hit the bench kid and let a strike throwing, all business pitcher take the game over.
Logan Bailey improved to 7-1 on the season with his win today.
A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
The Louisiana Tech baseball team scored 10+ runs for the fifth-straight game and completed a sweep of Marshall in a 12-3 Sunday-afternoon triumph from Epling Stadium.

Meanwhile in Houston the biggest CUSA drama of the year just occurred... Watched it on CUSA.TV and it WILL be on SportsCenter for sure. The game had a 4:15pm curfew, meaning a new inning cannot START after that time due to travel schedule.
FAU hit the go-ahead run in the T8 on an RBI double to LF. The Rice LFer said he couldn't get to the ball because it went under a fence and the batter ran all of the bases for an 'in the park homerun'. Rice coach Graham came out to argue and the CUSA officials overturned their call (so the game remained tied at FAU 6 - Rice 6). The FAU batter then struck out to end the half inning. So Rice came to bat with a leadoff double. The next batter is intentionally walked, then the FAU team walked on the field at 4:18, congratulated themselves on a tie and the CUSA officials left the field.
Game over. FAU and Rice end in a tie game. Are you kidding me? Only in CUSA can both teams get jobbed out of a win.
I thought of something else screwy with that rule during the bottom of the 7th in our game today. In a game with the time limit approaching for the losing home team . With no men on in the bottom an inning, they'd have better odds to take an "intentional 3rd" out in order to get three more at bats in the next inning.
Sunday games in general need to move up. Waiting for fans to go to church, have lunch, and go to the game at 1pm exacerbates these "we're out of time" situations. Moving Sunday games up a couple of hours would solve almost all of the issues, but inconvenienced fans would grumble.
I thought about that today. Marshall did begin at 10:00am their time. The problem with Marshall is that it is over a one hour drive for us to get to the airport after we shower and change. I assume we caught the last flight out today.
I don't remember it being an issue in WAC games. Did we play more Thursday, Friday, Saturday series with them in Ruston?
