Yeah...on the court, they haven't been good. As far as facilities and financial support goes, they are second only to UK in the SEC.

It really is pretty impressive facility-wise.

Arkansas is the only school in the sec without a basketball practice facility. But they do have a lot of money and they have 70,000 attend their football games when they're winning and 18,000 attend their basketball games when they're winning. But, it's been about 10 years since they had a good basketball team and their crowds have dropped off to around 5-6000. they also don't have alumni that support another school. It's the other way for them. Lots of alumni of other schools in Arkansas support UAF. I believe their total revenue for athletics is in the 70-80 million range. You can do a lot with that kind of money. What we need right now is a T. Boone Pickens that would donate about 250,000,000 to athletics. That would solve a lot of problems. What would we talk about then?

I did not know that Tech had to move practices around so much. Couldn't they just attach some sort of structure to the side of the TAC.

I wonder if the UA prez does have a "do not call" list...rumor is that most presidents do. When you've got the Waltons, Tysonss, Hunts, and Reynolds all racing to put their name on stuff, it makes fund raising less of a "challenge".

Come on Dwayne, DR doesn't value athletics at all. They are currently a necessary evil. He hasn't had the time yet to stick a fork in athletics.
