Have we had a write up lately? Is our baseball SID being asked to do something else by our AD and his new side kick?

I don't think there is internet in Kentucky
How bad did we get our butt kicked? I stopped listening after I realized Coach Insanity was determined to get a bunt down instead of trying to win. What is our Friday starters record in his last 5 games?
Gotta work to find the results...

I have a feeling we’re going to lose this series. We either score 15 runs in a game or 1. Don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it.
The baseball team is just following the trend set by the rest of the athletic department: embracing mediocrity.
Football 7-6, MBB 17-16, WBB 19-13, Baseball....?
Dog65 will tell us we should embrace this mediocrity too. Do NOT, under any circumstance, wish for anything more. Rejoice! we are mediocre!
This feast or famine scoring is really perplexing.
A legitimately good team should, on occasion, be able to give up 4, 5 even 6 runs and still score enough to win. Tech rarely does that. We either win big or lose without effort. A secondary effect of that is how Tech’s sometimes very sad offense can rip the hearts out of their pitchers.
Unless we get ‘a team game’ going I fear we won’t see much tournament play. This team would really benefit by that exposure for next year when we’re senior heavy again... gotta make good fruit when the vine is ripe.
We're putting more money in baseball but not that much more.
After beating UL-Lafayette last week we bused at the crack of dawn to New Orleans to catch a flight to Charlotte to then bus 4 hours to Beckley, West Virginia where we were playing Marshall. We had travel delays on the return trip and then looked flat as a pancake on Tuesday night. I've heard one story that said we practiced on Monday and another that said we did not.
Then we bused to Bowling Green from Ruston on Thursday. What was supposed to be a 10 hour bus ride plus a stop for a meal in Alabama turned into about a 13 hour bus ride after being stuck in traffic for more than 2 hours where the bus didn't move. We got in late into Bowling Green and the decision was made not to practice, which would have ended around midnight.
We gave up a homerun to the WKU's first batter of the game (I think it was the first) and it was all down hill from there.
As the parent of one of our players told me earlier this season 'if we could take charter flights to just a few select series it would make a huge difference. Not even a jet. A 50-seat prop plane would work just fine'.
I think these 2 series would have been good candidates.

Our AD...
Can't spend money on baseball w/out spending a proportional amount on softball. Yes softball. The sport they give free admission to while rarely giving a good deal on tickets for baseball.
Direct gifts to baseball are offset in the budget just like the old days.
Dawgs up 8-1 in the top of the 4th of game 2.
PW: I think softball and men's and women's basketball should get the same consideration. Where travel is really a concern we should consider chartering, perhaps no more than 2 road trips per year for each of the 4 programs. It could make a huge difference for each sport and may not add that much more to the budget of each sport.
8-1 Dawgs after 4
