There is nothing cropped out of the picture, I do not know what you think is being cropped out. It is not like I was in the helicopter taking the picture myself.

If you are talking about the section immediately behind the goal post as having no fans sitting there, that is because we have hedges there.

I think he is referring to the fact that the angle of the camera caused a sizeable segment of SU fans to be conveniently left out of the picture.

ULL is going to be solid this season. They beat up on K State this weekend. I am not surprised that they can pack it out in Lafayette. Good for them.

Those attendance numbers tell a huge story. Many high schools draw more than what Tulane and ULM did. No school will be able to compete at the D-1 level for very long without consistent paid attendance of at least 20K. Throw in your occasional gimmick game (Southern, Grambling, A&M in S'port, etc.), and you can get your average up to 25K paid. This includes us. We must build our base of support up to the 20K level. Tulane and ULM may be lost causes but Tech and ULL at least have a shot at getting there. If we can't, we simply won't be able to fund our program the way we must in order to be successful. Has the season ticket sales total been announced? I heard we set a new record again this year.

I don't think anyone here disagrees with what you stated above. However, you don't build a fan base by starting off the season 0-2. Only about 10 of the 120 Div 1A schools in the country are 0-2 so far this year, and we are one of them. Not cool.

There are 17 FBS 0-2 teams right now, and 5 more 0-1 teams have to win on the road next week to avoid an 0-2 start. 4 of those teams are from BCS conferences--Colorado, Syracuse, Virginia, and Washington State.

Hopefully Tech won't be on this list as of around 9:00 Saturday night and it is a cinch by around 7:00. If not, then 8 losses may be conservative.
