This was their third straight road game in about a week and they had been jumping between hotels for 5-straight nights. We came out smoking in the 2nd half and they were simply exhausted.
But a good 20-minutes (we outscored them 41-27) does not a good team make. Too much of the same ole, same ole. Same stupid mistakes and "bonehead" decisions being made. Missed chippy shots, missed layups, dumb passes at times. Stupid fouls too. Have to be smarter. Not sure when this bunch will learn the very simple things they have control of, but if they are ever going to reach a higher level of success, each and every player needs to learn the simple lessons. I still give Brooke credit of being a good coach, so it must drive her absolutely nuts to watch the same mistakes being made even after 34 games played now. Youth is NOT an excuse. They have played 34 Division I games.
I will watch some of the Abilene Christian-Illinois State game tonight just to get a feel for our next opponent.
Go Techsters! Keep it rolling!
