Well wouldn't that be huge if we got an invite from the MWC? But us, Southern Miss and Houston would give the conference 13 teams. I thought 12 was the number they want.

Don't misunderstand me. I do not want in the MWC at all. It is nothing against that conference. It is a match made in hell. We are not good for each other. I was just commenting that they are missing us. A mindset thing. No, neither of us need the other, except that we need them to take UTEP.

I would take the MWC with Houston or S. Miss over the Sunbelt or WAC or Indy in a minute.

Reading the CUSA board... I think they are all content in CUSA. If the MWC has to add 2 more, they will be choosing from WAC teams. Of course they can sit tight at 10 too. I'm thinking Utah St is a no-brainer. It would be between Tech, NMSU, and Idaho for the other spot. (maybe UNT, Texas St, UTSA?).

I would love MWC - it will be the best non-AQ conference out there. I would like CUSA better, because of geography, of course.

Not if Houston and/or S.Miss were with us as well. The new MWC has some great advantages as well. Adding all three would be the USAFA leaving fallback and get into Texas and Louisiana recruiting markets.

I love us getting in all these west conferences. The Big West, WAC, and now thoughts of the MWC. I guess we fit the bill since we have Mt Driskell just outside of Arcaidia, 585 ft above sea level.

I think he is saying the MWC should look at those three schools not that it should go after all 3. I don't think any of this is very likely I just thought it was good that we got a mention. I would jump at MWC right now with or without anybody else. If we could do MWC for football and find something more regional for everything else it would be great.

I think it would have to be football only a la hawaii just because of travel reasons and our football program doesn't really bring that much to the table. I just don't see it happening.

Wrong and not happening. Besides ARK just did have success and will possibly head to the Sugar Bowl after beating lsu again.

UA wins their division every 5-6 years in the SEC. If they make a BCS bowl this year, it will be their first as a SEC member. In the old SWC, they were always a top 2-3 team with Texas and A&M. Just saying that there are some in Arkansas who dream of the good old days in the SWC and playing Texas every year. And probably most UA fans would say that they would rather play Texas than just about anybody else.
