Here's a statistic that I heard on the radio yeasterday that surprised me. The last 7 championship games in 7-A in Arkansas have had both teams from northwest Arkansas. These teams have almost all white players. Greenwood, an almost all white team from west Arkansas just won the 5A championship over Camden Fairview.

I think the biggest factor is that they just play really good football in NWA and they have some very good coaches up that way. And the schools up there tend to be larger too, I think. But that stat is surprising.
