We are in desperate need of a quarterback. I think next season could actually be worse if we don't find a juco to fill the shoes, although I haven't seen what the ex Neville quarterback can do. Sorry, forgot his name, but I do think he is our only hope with anyone that is already on the team.

I am actually pretty optimistic that our QB play will be a lot better next year. I think we get two pretty decent QB's this year and those already on the roster will step it up quite a bit.

One of the most interesting things I heard Dykes say all year had to do with quarterbacks. He said at Texas Tech they always had some young hot shots that the coaching staff and everyone else thought would come in and do amazing. He said it always seemed as though the QB ended up being someone who had been in the system already. He said they just understood the reads and the timing better. The QBs had went through the offense and already knew the "system". He said that's why when they lost a QB it always seemed like they replaced him easily. The person already knew the system. That makes me think that the QB will be from our roster currently. Unless someone, a JC, ran a very, very similar system...I just don't see them catching on quick enough.

I have confidence from all I have heard that Burch will be the QB.......but we still need 2-3 good back ups. We will see who wins out and gets the job in the Spring.

When will Burch be the QB? I completely agree. I just think it will be 2 years down the road.

I heard the offense scout team, with Burch and others, beat the starters on D many weeks. Anyone else haer the same?

Agreed. I liked what I saw of Hakmi last year. And that was w/ limited experience in the system, right?
