The document says that the design populous came up with is purely conceptual and can be changed for any number of reasons. I'm hoping whoever gets the bid thinks the way you and I do about the concept design and tweaks it to looking more like the historical architecture all around campus.

The part of the design I want changed is the two areas outside the proposed club seating area that just seem to be flat standing area. Seems like wasted space and does nothing aesthetically for me.

We still need to push every part of this project though. Make everything an event.

It is designed that way to facilatate use of the club for University and revenue generating venues in the off season.

I personally would like to raise a glass to our beloved university. A toast that has been delayed four days, but here's to TECH! The lady in the mist whose exposed parts made our orientation a laugh, to the bookstore that never had a line short enough to make class in time to pick up the textbook, to the games where for three years we showed uo drunk out of our minds, to those who have paved the way for this years team the coaches and players who have put more blood and sweat on that field than sometimes we seem to recognize, to Phillip Livas Rob McGill and the rest of our seniors in their future ventures, and to quest for excellence may it be as beautiful and fulfilling as we invision. Lastly I raise my figurative glass to this season we embark upon may it begin with a bang on signing day that Sonny Dykes and the Bulldogs ride to our first post new years game.

With all proposals due January 28th, has anyone heard how the selection process is proceeding? When are they going to announce the architects awarded the project?

they more than likely started reviewing the proposals yesterday. not sure how many they received but i cannot see this taking more than a couple of days.

after they choose the firm and notify them, they have 21 days to sign an agreement. the firm has to provide a timeline with specific milestones that have to meet the timeline set by the q4e.

i am hoping that this timeline is released and that there is a big press release once all of the contracts are worked out. we could really use some positive news around here.
