At 1 in the morning? Meeting the team at 1 is a student thing. I just find it funny that the out of towners talk like this but WILL NEVER HAVE TO BACK IT UP. It's easy to say what we would do, but until its 12 am, you are in Ruston, and go, you can't really talk.

Don't be foolish. Some of us "out of towners" drive 9 or 10 hours roundtrip each week (my case) just to attend a game in Ruston. That's a hell of a lot harder than asking you to drive 10 minutes across town in NO TRAFFIC at midnight. Geeeez.....you're acting like you would have really been put out.

I guess the whole pitch about sharing this thing with your kids and them remembering it for the rest of their lives kinda went over your head?

Well, I'm not gonna say anybody "sucks" for not going, but you're right HD...it IS something kids never forget. I recall the National Championship team flying into Monroe back in the early 70's, and a certain 9 year old boy was with his Dad at the gate to cheer on the team. That kid shook hands with Mike Barber and Quick-6 McDaniel.

I remember it well.

THIS^^^ is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Great story! Kids remember moments like this.

This is a student thing by far. First of all, Middle Agers w/ Kids dont LIVE on BBB like some of you and dont have a twitter account to know when the Team would be getting back. If they would have known that a people were getting together to greet the team, they may have showed up. Maybe there should have been something posted earlier and on the more popular Facebook about it. Students stay up until 2AM every night anyway. There should have been 100 of them there, AND I think there may have been had the game been on TV. The majority of students just arent going to sit and listen the radio for 3 hours. Watching the game would have gotten everyone more excited about the victory and more likely to come out at 1AM.
