Maybe this is because I live in Houston, which is only a couple of hours from College Station and I have to hear Aggie crap from my brother all of the time...but those of you think that Shreveport is a home game are out of your mind. Aggies will outnumber us 3 to 1. And yeah, we'll have alot of eyes on the game...but to me, I'd be embarrassed by calling it a "home" game and having the nation see that we're outnumbered. If we're going to do that, we might as well keep a home game with Lamar and get rid of a different away game and just go to College Station. Pay out would be the same, and atleast we have an excuse if there is a poor showing.
That's not to say I don't want to play them. I think our chances of beating aTm are higher than we are giving ourselves credit for. Tannehill is gone, as are their twop two running backs I believe (I can't remember if Cyrus Gray is back or not, but I think the other one is gone). They are going to install brand new schemes and will likely only still be in a game with us due to the talent they've recruited. Other than that, I think we will field the more experienced team.
Nothing is guaranteed in College which is why who we play is irrelevant. I just hope our administration makes a good choice that builds us up for the long term and not just for short gains. Sadly, I've seen this movie before, and I don't think the ending has changed.
