I wish all of you guys would quit your bitching. The game is scheduled. Just show up or shut the hell up.

Don't continue to be a dweeb. :icon_wink: I told you in a private message that I'm at 30,000 feet in a crowded airplane right now, traveling from Raleigh to DFW. (Will land in a few minutes) I have a perfectly good reason for it taking me a few extra minutes to respond to your dumb post.

No one has argued that and no one has ignored it. The point we are trying to make is Ball State Qualified before they even played their last game with a schedule very much comparable (OOC games- Indiana, Navy, Western Kentucky (fcs), Northeastern (fcs)) to ours and pre-season hype even less than ours. Unless you somehow believe that they would have dropped in the BCS rankings had they won their last game, Ball state is the perfect example of what we are trying to get across. They finished the regular season 12-0 with a #12 ranking before losing their conference championship game and falling to #22. They would have been on the outside looking in because other teams were undefeated and ahead of them and that could certainly happen to us. Dawg06 has made a good point on who is left to sit in front of us for a BCS bid if they go undefeated. The pickings are pretty slim. The fact of the mattter is that not many teams go undefeated in a given year. The ones who do are rewarded by rising in the rankings as the teams in front of them lose regardless of their schedule. Boise state would have played for the national title last year if they hadn't missed a field goal and they would have been in the BCS with a loss if they had lost to someone besides TCU. TCU very nearly qualified with two losses last year. No one is saying that we are at that level. You need preseason hype to have a chance at a NC or a BCS game without a perfect record. The way it is now, at least one undefeated non-aq will get a BCS bowl game every year there is one. If BYU or Boise go undefeated, they would get a BCS bid ahead of us. Texas A&M doesn't change that.
yes deltu i feel ya. i dont know i just didnt see us going 12-0 regardless of schedule
Ball State lost. Why are we talking about what would've happened had they won?
I'm glad I read the last page of this first. It saves me a lot of time from reading the 36 pages before this one.
