Chocolate Mint Day
The diabolically brilliant people who thought of putting chocolate and mint together really do have a lot to answer for. Our waistlines in particular. With all the chocolate mint ice cream, cakes, cookies, candies and brownies, we really need something to wash it all down with. Chocolate mint tea perhaps?

Tell your children that in order to keep the winter at bay, they should go outside and scare away the chills today by yelling "Hoodie Hoo!" That'll keep them busy while you sit back with a hot cup of cocoa, warming your mitts. And while they are out there, they can shovel the driveway too.

This day to honor our past and present Presidents falls on George Washington's birthday. One usually celebrates it by perusing used car lots, mattress sales or fighting the traffic at the mall. We think George Washington said it best: '50% off bath mats is a freedom we can't afford to miss!'
What does one yell outside on a really hot day to scare away the heat??
I wish it weren't 108 degrees out here.
