Probably during the spring elections. It doesn't say on their website, but it most likely will be in April or May.
It's called the Enhancement Fee, and the vote will be April 18-19.
The $30 fee increase will also provide:
- demolition of decommissioned dorms
- intramural field construction
- green space for outdoor classrooms
- meeting space for student organizations
- parking facilities
- banquet facility
- continuation of 20 for 20

Just listened to Brett McMurphy/CBS Sports on Tim Brando's show. For my money, he's the number one guy on conference realignment, covering it more closely than anyone else on the national scene. He made it pretty clear that CUSA & MWC are trying hard to put something together that will last, and they want it done for the 2013 season. But there's no clear path and the plans have gone through several different permutations. Sure made it sound to me like it could easily be the last minute of the last day before this gets resolved...which I guess would be June 30. I was hoping for some indications that things might be getting close, but that's not the way it sounded.
It's called the People's Eyebrow.

What a month January should be!
January Possibilities:
1. a CUSA invitation
2. SEZ announcements
3. notable recruiting commits
4. information regarding the status of the possible move to the LSU System
That should be enough for the first 4 weeks of the year!
Looking back that would have been awesome for us!! Let's see what happened.
1. We are lucky Benson went to the Sun Belt, so we can move up there. With Malzahn now leading Arkansas State, the emergence of the University of Louisiana and Cristobal staying at Florida International we will have a tough first three or four years in football and forget about basketball. We are light years away there.
2. On track there.
3. A class outside the top 100. Interesting how the coaching staff went with a class lacking in quantity and a class lacking in quality. Who does that?
4. Well if that happens I see two positives. We won't be park of the University of Louisiana anymore. I would rather be the little LSU than the little ULL. And, at least we won't be called LSU at Ruston. I'm thankful we weren't called UL-Ruston!

There is no way to truly predict the future...there's only One who can see around the next curve. And you even acknowledge that fact in the title of your thread...you had the correct insight to title it "What a month January SHOULD be", not WILL be.
I think it's funny they're foaming at the mouth to "welcome" us back to the Sun Belt, but as far as I've seen and read, we're still in the hunt for an invitation to The Alliance. I think their anticipation and glee over watching a Tech fanboard melt down is premature at this time.

Can you imagine what it would be like if Sunbelt membership was the best you could ever hope for? ULL has absolutely NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER of being included in this round of conference realignment. They can do nothing but sit and watch as Tech, UNT, FIU, and others are openly discussed as possible additions to the alliance. These ULL people are smart enough to know that if Tech does, indeed, get invited to join the alliance in this round of realignment, ULL will be forever joined at the hip with ULM in what is left of the Sunbelt. They are scared to death that this may happen. I don't blame them, I'd be scared by the thought of that as well.
