Guys, this is our first WAC championship game to play in, ever. That's a hell of a lot better than we've done in a long time.

Good season guys. We'll be even better next year. We've got to get bigger though.
To make me feel better, I just watched a replay of our 44-0 dominating win over a 4-9 New Mexico State team in football.

Man that stung watching them celebrate. I was really hoping to see Tech in the big dance. This one stings bad.
Tough day (understatement). But, both teams reached the championship game, and that is always an accomplishment. Both teams have winning records.
So! I guess if fans are gonna be upset, well, it could have been much, much worse this year.
Well, one good thing is I won't have to look at McKines or Rahman in Ruston next year. Can't believe Watson isn't a sr.; seems like he's been there forever.

THIS is what a championship roster looks like.

Fresno cheerleaders thank you for hanging around to cheer for us tonight. The announcers said this will be a great experience for our guys to play in this tournament. I know we got blowed out tonight but all of our guys did not play. With such a blowout I thought surely we will reward all the guys and let them see the court to give them some experience. We did not play well but we should not give NMS inside height too much credit our defensive effort was the problem!!!!! Fresno sweep them. We played the better twice.
Basketball is a game of streaks. That includes streaky shooting - both hot and cold. Unfortunately, we were cold tonight and NMSU was hot. It happens.
I'm happy for the experience our DAWGS and coaches gained this year and I see a much brighter future in whatever conference we land. There are lot of reasons to be happy.
One area of concern to many of us tournament regulars is the horrible lack of fan support from TECH fans. This tournament was like playing 3 straight road games in a hostle environment. There was very little that would remind our team of the familiar surroundings and sounds of the TAC. Even though the Fresno State band is good, they are not the Hoop Troop. Until we can get a good crowd of TECH fans and support groups to the tournament, it will continue to seem like road games instead of neutral site games. It is our responsibility as fans to show up to support our teams.
I am very proud of the Dawgs. These young players have a promising future at Tech. I cannot wait until next year.
