National Cherish an Antique Day
April 9th, 2012
Whether its gathering dust in your grandmother's attic or sitting on an end table, clashing with the modern furniture in your living room, that old piece of junk is a precious piece of history. Antiques are neat little artifacts, a way to learn about the lifestyle and tastes of those who came before us. So today, stop to admire that ancient item of yours because it's a window to the past' not to mention it could be worth a fortune. Cha-ching!
National Name Yourself Day
April 9th, 2012
It didn't really take when you tried to get your friends to call you R-Dogg last summer, but maybe today you'll have better luck.
National Winston Churchill Day
April 9th, 2012
On this day in 1963, Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill was named an honorary United States citizen. Churchill was the British Prime Minister during World War II, and he worked extensively with Roosevelt to achieve victory. He was the first person ever to receive the honorary US citizenship, and since then only 6 other world figures have joined the club. So let's all put on our trench coats, light a cigar, and pay tribute to Churchill and his legacy.

National Golfers Day
April 10th, 2012
Golfers have found a way to play a sport that doesn't involve serious injuries, grueling practices, or the dependence on youth. They're like, 'No thanks, I don't want to perspire all over my sweater vest. I'll just be over here in the shade until it's my turn. Now hurry it up. I want to finish this game in time for cocktail hour at the club house.' Brilliant!
National Siblings Day
April 10th, 2012
Sure they sometimes hogged all the attention, not to mention more than their half of the back seat during long car trips, but they are also the only other people on the planet who understand how weird your parents are. So today give them a shout out. Thank them for never ratting you out when the vase in the living room mysteriously shattered all over the floor. Or telling you that your braces didn't look that bad. Siblings are like the best friends we never asked for but are really glad we have.
National Cheese Fondue Day
April 11th, 2012
Fondue is a warm batch of Swiss culinary deliciousness that makes for one swinging party. Simply melt a big ol' pot of cheese and serve with bread, veggies and skewers. Party guests will gather round and dig in. It's all fun and games' until someone loses an earring. Then it's time to switch over to the pigs in a blanket.
