National Twilight Zone Day

This is just an ordinary town. Or is it? And this is an ordinary boy. Or is he? In The Twilight Zone, nothing is what it seems. This classic TV show, created and narrated by Rod Serling, aired from 1959 to 1964, and since then has had two modern revivals. Each episode was a self-contained sci-fi, fantasy story and almost always ended with a surprising twist. Like maybe today isn't Twilight Zone Day after all. Or is it?

Frog Jumping Day

Today could be celebrated by playing a game of leapfrog or finding yourself some frogs to jump over. The former seems a little easier unless you want to spend your day in the swamp. It's been said this day is connected to Mark Twain's short story 'Jim Smiley and His Jumping Frog,' which is a tale of two men placing bets on jumping frogs. Hmmm' looks like we've stumbled on a third way to celebrate this holiday.
National Leprechaun Day

You might expect leprechauns to come out and party on St. Patrick's Day, but these little guys tend to lay low so you don't try to grab their pots of gold. But they've gotta come out some time, to pick up groceries or go to the bank or whatever. Maybe today will be your lucky day so get out there and see if you can hunt one down. Legend has it, he'll grant you three wishes. What will yours be?
Mother's Day

Aren't moms the greatest? All our lives they just give and give, and bake cookies, and listen to our problems, and all that other awesome mom stuff. And all they ask for in return is that you send a card or some flowers ONE day a year. Even if you forget, they'll just settle for a phone call. So if you've still got the time, hurry up and do something special to thank your mother for all her hard work.
