LA Tech License plates for your car. Real State of Louisiana license plates. Here is a link to the alumni website where you can see a picture of the plates; http://www.latechalumni.org/s/810/in...gid=1&pgid=334

Of course if you're not in Shreveport, you can go to the local OMV and request one. If you're in Baton Rouge, go to the Department of Public Safety headquarters on Independence Blvd, back behind the parish Office of Motor Vehicles, and they have all the specialty plates for Louisiana. That's where I had gotten my Tech plate when I was in Louisiana.

In Texas, go to www.myplates.org, which is run by the Department of Motor Vehicles, and select/customize your LaTech plate. You pay for it by credit card, then they have it shipped from Huntsville to your local county tax office (the main one if you have multiple tax offices like here in Bexar County). When you pick it up, they reset your registration date on the vehicle and give you a new sticker for the windshield, and may charge you a pro-rated amount for the registration.

I just took advantage of the buy one get one free for the Texas plates. I can't wait for them to get in so I can have those bad boys on both of our cars.

Daaaaang, they have a buy-one-get-one deal now? Oh well, my wife wouldn't go for that anyway, because she'd want some silly ULL plates... She can keep ridin' with the general issue Texas plates for now.

Yeah, I found out about it at the Dallas crawfish boil. Not a bad deal at all. It worked out great because I just registered our cars in Texas and was about to order the Tech plates.

I love to see those Tech license plates. I wish every Tech Alum and fan would get one. What possible reason could there be to not have one.

Idunno ... maybe you've spent a decade of exile in Little Rock where they don't make specialty plates for other state's colleges.

The nice thing on the Louisiana plates is that a portion of the fee on each plate goes to Tech.

I believe this is the case with the Texas plates as well. Am I right, DallasDawg?

Yesterday at church I parked next to another car with a LA Tech License plate. I like seeing the numbers grow and hope they continue to do so.
