He can use Penn State as his precedent. As alguacil, you will be able to hold them with little or no food for at least a year before the trial, which will give you plenty of time to inflict whatever torture or pain you deem necessary to get the proper confessions from them. Of course, we need to give you complete secrecy in the detention and we need a secret trial, but once you have what you need, we need a public execution. I favor putting the "guilty" into a bovine carcass and slow rosting them until death. Now, that would be accountability.
Wow. Calm down, dude. Why are you wound so tight? Regardless of how you feel about anyone involved in this tragedy, it should be noted that our mascot should be treated as "royalty" (in pet terms), and should not be boarded in a vet clinic. If Doc goes out of town, definitely don't leave our mascot up there with his part time employees. There is a good Tech family out there that could give our dog full time attention/care and take him to the vet when that is necessary.

Well Louisiana Tech isn't exactly known for its honor roll students...

Oh really? Why are we one of two Tier One schools in the state of Louisiana? Why do we have the only Doctorate program in the world for Nano-systems Engineering Technologies? Why is Tech ranked #2 in the nation amongst academic institutions in terms of innovation productivity as measured by number of new inventions generated per research dollar expended, according to a 2008 report released by the Association of University Technology Managers? Louisiana Tech also ranked second nationally amongst academic institutions in terms of the rate of new spin-out or start-up companies. Just saying, do your research before you bash my school, which I happen to be an Honors student at.

It really pisses me off how much people don't respect Tech. I had to set this idiot straight!

I guess you didn't pick up on the sarcasm.

It is actually quite funny that you are telling me to calm down when that is exactly what I'm suggestion everyone else to do. This post was intended to show how utterly ridiculous the mob is acting. To suggest criminal prosecution is utterly stupid.

Rational thought: a mistake was made; those who made the mistake are sick about it; all involved need to "calm down, dude"; we need time to heal; make sure better precautions are taken in the future.

My blood pressure only goes up when there are suggestions of trying to hurt Patrick and his family. When that happens, I will turn over the money tables. That is a promise.

And this business about changing the name and breed is just foolishness.
The Daily Mail is known for making stupid mistakes like this. It's nothing intentional, just crappy journalism.

    Not Reneau but law enforcement.

If the dumbass teenager (which everyone assumes is the case) did nothing to injure the dog, so be it. If lieing about what happened does not warrant charge, then so be it. If a police report was filed (which it should have been), then this is criminial action.

Unfortunately, grounding and taking away an iPhone is not acceptable punishment and it's not up to the parent's or the vet to decide what is until those above statements are validated.

Since you live in Ruston and have a personal relationship with the vet, I can understand you wanting this to go away. But that should not happen when neglect kills a dog, especially TECH XX.

Wanting this to go away has nothing to do with it. In fact, Patrick being my friend has nothing to do with it. Patrick made a huge mistake. I'm certainly not defending that. His worker made a huge mistake. I'm not defending him either. There will be natural consequences.

However, there is no way that law enforcement should get involved in this. The event itself is a huge punishment. I would have hope that we would treat Patrick and his family with sympathy instead of condemnation. They are suffering emotionally more than anybody about this. People make mistakes. God knows I do.

People that lock babies in hot cars are probably sick about that mistake too. Teenage drunk drivers who injure or kill people are probably sick about their mistake. Does that make what they did ok? We should just let it go and take better precautions in the future?

Is this a serious response. I don't want to waste my time responding if you were just being silly.

Sure it was sarcasm, but it's pretty easy to tell from the context of your posts that you are wound up pretty tight. You are correct, better precautions should be taken in the future, such as not boarding our mascot at ANY vet clinic.

Your last statement is a bit outlandish and further exemplifies the fact that you need to chill out. I haven't seen any reference to anyone on here suggesting harm to Patrick. You say, "When that happens", like you want or expect it to. That is ridiculous and you shouldn't have even mentioned that. This is not a time to play Mr. tough guy. If you need to flex your e-muscles, I suggest you do that elsewhere.

It is wonderful how you can pyschoanalyze over a computer. Problem is, you are missing the mark by a wide margin.

I have been posting here a long time. Everyone knows I am a sarcastic bastard, but a cuddly fuzz ball.

I will defend Patrick, though. E-muscles aren't necessary.

Finally, Clyde and Nathan know me. All of us can dish it out and take it too. We line up on more than we disagree.
