They will know how we play, nothing much is changing, and what is changing they can read about on B,B&B. Exactly! I think it was a good call by Bruce and the ADM. BTW, I heard my first radio commercial touting this game (done by TECH I might add) on the radio here in Tyler, TX today. That has never happened before! WHY TO GO GUYS!!
This could be a great opportunity for us and postponement is certainly the right decision. If we are fortunate enough (and we could be) to be undefeated going into the a&m game, and with a relatively easy schedule remaining thereafter, the a&m game will have strong BCS implications and will likely be nationally televised. It would be an absolutely PACKED stadium with all the hype and game-day atmosphere that it would deserve.
The cards are continuing to fall our way.
By the way, when it was announced on ESPN radio in Dallas that the game was postponed, the local radio host and prominent DFW sports-talk personality, Randy Galloway, was very complimentary of Tech saying specifically that LaTech was NOT a tune-up but a true test for the aggies and that he was very disappointed that the game had been postponed because he was very much looking forward to watching. A sidekick of Galloway then jumped in to add that Tech was a very good football team, "well-coached by that Dykes boy"(ha!).

A team improves the most between the first and second game of the season.
By postponing this game, your administration has just made sure both programs will be at a disadvantage going into their September 8 games.
That is the absolute truth. Also...how in Hell do we know the weather will be any better on October 13, 2012????

I agree...for the same reasons.
Are you watching the weather?-we always get the blunt of wind and rain with these events, thus possible loss of electricity-no one needs to risk life and limb for a football game. Our kids and theirs back at school-sounds better to me.
Exactly. I bought two 45 yard line chairbacks for for my admin asst & her husband whom are both LSU fans & will be going to the lsu/usc game. I may also have another pair of these quality seats available. Should know more tomorrow.
But in aTm's case, we just helped your team from not going into their first $EC game with losing record of 0-1.
If the decision was made for reasons other than purely for safety/health, as was officially stated, then I am incredibly ashamed of the decision makers. Will the moving of the game bring Tech more $$? Probably. Will the moving of the game put more people in the stands? Probably. Will the outcome of the game be different in October? Impossible to know. The possible higher ticket sales, profit, etc should not be used as a basis to move a Division 1 college football game nearly 48 hours from kickoff.
If both teams did not have a mutual off weekend, what would have been done?

LaTech admin was aided in their decision by Barksdale Air Force Base. Those guys were flying through the storm gathering far better up to the minute information than even the National Weather Service. Barksdale's data, at the time the decision to postpone was made, indicated (and I suppose still indicates) that the storm will track up I-49 to Shreveport. That was the primary reason for the decision to postpone.
