I think this is it.
http://www.lsusystem.edu/overview/do...l%20Report.pdf
I don't like the lean of this... pg 26-27 lsu milestones:
FMAP implosionLeadership change at the university
Another championship football year
Board of Regents does not call LSU for discussion of formula
Attempt to take over LSU-S
3 chancellors of LSU
3 presidents of LSU system
Or this...
pg. 9
7. Not surprisingly, major opportunities for the system to make a positive difference have lain fallow, sometimes even for others to seize, as, for the benefit of northwest Louisiana, in the proposed merger of LSU-S and Louisiana Tech
From Page 4 of the report:
Such consolidation also might well encourage, said many, the northwest region of the state, one already a hub of economic activity for three states and far from southern Louisiana, to create its own consolidated and rival flagship, a merger of LSU Shreveport, Louisiana Technical University, and the Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.
There are a lot of "professional" organizations, government entities, and other universities that label Tech as Louisiana Technical University.
[sarcasm] Good call AGB! It would be horrible for another region not in southern Louisiana to have a higher ed and thriving economy! [/sarcasm]
It's this kind of thinking, that hinders Louisiana, we can ALL succeed it is not North vs South, we can start bringing in jobs and opportunities from outside the state and increase our economy overall. All they see is how to slice up the same small pie, where we are trying to get a bigger pie to slice up...
McNeese State put "Louisiana Technical University" on their MBB schedule this year.
The London 2012 website listed Jason Morgan as attending "Louisiana Technical University."
The Shell Eco-marathon website listed us as "Louisiana Technical University" a couple years ago.
There was a shooing at the Louisiana Technical College campus in Baton Rouge several years ago, and the media including CNN reported it as a shooting at Louisiana Tech.
Many ignorant folks in South Louisiana think we are a technical college.
The problem is that "Tech" is not a real word. It's an abbreviation. People in Texas make fun of Texas Tech University because "Tech" isn't a real word. I don't think we should have changed our official name to Louisiana Tech University for that reason. There was nothing wrong with Louisiana Polytechnic Institute when everybody referred to us as Louisiana Tech. Virginia Tech's official name is Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. If we changed our name to anything, F. Jay Taylor should have changed it to "Louisiana Institute of Technology" similar to Caltech, Georgia Tech, and MIT.

Zero students enrolled in one of the new programs at LSUS.
Only 26 students enrolled in the other new program at LSUS.
It doesn't specify which programs, but I'm pretty sure they are petroleum engineering and construction management via LSU-BR.

Page 7:
For that matter, system institutions themselves, seen by many as a cut above others in the state, all can point to significant enhancements of quality and performance in recent years."a Legislature not automatically opposed to the system"? Did I read that right?Even though aggressive work with the Legislature has not generated as many allies as the system would like and background worries of efficiency and unified control and direction continue, the LSU system’s name, statewide presence, and prominence, combined with hard work in cultivation, have produced a Legislature not automatically opposed to the system and one open to conversation. All see the benefits of improved performance.
Even though there's no category for LSUBR alumni, at least a few of those interviewed are LSUBR alumni. I think the report meant to say the LSU-Shreveport Alumni Association.
I didn't get that much out of the assessment other than the LSU System seems to be a giant mess. A lot of crap has to be straightened with the LSU System regardless of the direction and structure of the system going forward.
The report doesn't say if the LSU System President and LSUBR Chancellor positions should be consolidated. No recommendation on a specific structure on the LSU System was made. The report doesn't say if the system should be restructured or remain intent with a new focus.
Shreveport Times (Sept. 9th): Students, staff feeling LSUS budget cuts
Three retired professors agreed to teach courses at LSU-Shreveport for free, since the university needs to fill in budget gaps. Also, the university is charging high school students for dual enrollment courses for the first time starting this year.
LSU System Board of Supervisors Meeting Agenda (September 2012): Link
On Pages 1618-1619, LSUS Interim Chancellor Paul Sisson writes a letter to Dr. William Jenkins. In the letter, Sisson talks about the two budget cuts totaling about $750,000 in FY 2011-2012. The last paragraph mentions how LSU-Shreveport helped out the LSU Law Center by transferring $400,000 of LSUS' self-generated revenue to help with LSU Law's budget situation.
