My son hooked up our 60" to my laptop and we watched the Montreal CFL game last night! It came through crystal clear! Can't wait for the Dawgs/ Cavs! We are ready!

    Re: Where to watch?

Last night I tried to watch the Hawaii game in my Xbox. It said (like it usually does with the Friday night game) that it was not available in my area. Anybody in Shreveport (Xfinity Internet) had the same issue? Now, I don't have cable, just Internet service. I just don't want the Tech game to be unavailable. Any help is appreciated.

    Re: Where to watch?

I have four laptops in the house this weekend, but none of them have the HDMI port. I guess I'll have to watch w/no sound on the regular monitor hookup.

I use a monitor @ my office so I can run dual screens. I simply ran the video cable I use at the office and plugged it into a video input on the back of my TV. Went to the TV Function button on the remote and found that I now had the option to select "PC" in addition to the normal options of TV, HDMI 1 & HDMI 4. Selected the "PC". That gave me my desktop showing on my on the laptop and the TV.

Tried to run the audio on the home theater but once I got the radio running on HDMI 4 and reselected PC on the TV Function, I lost the radio. So I kept the TV Function on PC, and got on the internet on the laptop. Went to ESPN and found the ESPN3 and went ahead and started a live soccer game. Muted the audio. Went to Control Panel and set the display to maximum pixels. Opened a new window and went to to ESPN97.7 and put the live feed on. So I'm watching soccer and listening to Nick White. Once the game is on this is how I'll run. If there's too much of a lag between audio & video I'll just shutdown 97.7 and go with ESPN's audio.

The only other thing i did was go to power management on the Control Panel and set the laptop where I can close the laptop lid and nothing happens. My 2 year old grandson cant resist a computer so that will remove the temptation.

Try it again. Tech/UVA is an ESPN3 exclusive, it should work. Last night's game was likely blacked out for espn3 watchers.

Do they have other output options?

If your provider isn't listed on Watch ESPN, you can't download the app to watch ESPN material including sports on your phone. If your provider is listed as having ESPN3, you can watch it online.

Watch ESPN is different than ESPN3. I think ESPN3 is contracted with a lot more providers. Who is your provider?
