I am hoping see Northern Illinois crush Florida State.

What year was the last time Tech beat Florida State? Two more wins this season and we would be there tonight. Hoping to be watching same time next year for a second chance to bust the BCS!

I don't keep up with that crap too closely, the stupid tie-ins, I mean. So, the HoD Bowl has a B1G tie in, but not a Big 12 one? And T. Boone is affilated with that bowl? Something ain't right.

The bowl system sucks, as further illustrated by a 5-loss Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. Simply stoooopid.

The Big Ten filled all of its tie-ins down to HoD in Week 13 (it left the Little Caesar's open). And so did the Big 12 in Week 13. The only way Tech was ever going to play in Dallas was with two Big 12 teams in the BC$ so the HoD Big 12 team could go to Memphis in a trade for Tech. Tech was never going to play in Memphis no matter what statement may have been made by anyone associated with the Liberty Bowl to anyone.

January 1 should be national quarterfinal day in an 8, 12, 16, 24, or 32 team playoff (IMO the larger the better).
