War does not determine who is right, it determines who is left. I wonder if North Korea understands that??

Supposed to block the alien and/or government signals into your brain to prevent brainwashing.

Some people need to add more foil.

Odd. Back in "rabbit-ears" days, one would apply aluminum foil to the "ears" to receive a clearer signal. ???

We did that many times in the early 60's....to the rabbit ears.

When we got our first TV we had a 60 ft. tall mast antenna to get a station that was only 50 miles away. It was directional and had to be pointed toward the broadcasting antenna (TV is FM which is line of sight). We had to turn ours manually, but some people had fancy motorized ones. We could get Shreveport and if we pointed the antenna just right and held our mouth just so we could barely pickup Monroe or Alexandria. By the time I started 6th grade all we had was a roof top antenna (still directional) which my parents used until they got cable. Rabbit ears might have worked in the end as the stations kept boosting their power.

My dad would make me hold the rabbit ears and stand on one leg as that's when we got the best reception!

Wow...and I thought my dad was the only one that did that. The thing was...it was difficult for me to watch TV in that position and I couldn't stand there for a long period of time.

My brother (2 years older than I) used to work like dogs "tuning" for about an hour many afternoons, trying to tune in on some far off station just to get a snowy glimpse of the latest dance moves on American bandstand. I, being the younger, much preferred not so fuzzy "Howdy Doody." I had a crush on princess Summerfallwinterspring.

The Bloop. It was a bird (puppet) that was dying....the TV audience and peanut gallery all had to clap loudly to get it well.
