There was good little bit. Isn't it Dykes' philosophy to have the center handle the snap count and line schemes? It'll be interesting to see how a rs freshman handles it. Seems like they love those true freshmen qbs.

I don't think that's a hard and fast philosophical decision (like efficient practices or the pace of play). It's just just something Franklin had been experimenting with after coaching in the arena league. I don't think they are married to that if the personnel didn't work.

GAME(S) TO WATCH
— Louisiana Tech: Tulsa has a solid lead over the rest of Conference USA's West Division. The race for second, however, should come down to the Owls and Louisiana Tech – with a date in Houston on Nov. 16 likely deciding both the final standings and whether one or both reach bowl eligibility. While Rice should win knock out a midseason winning streak against UTSA, New Mexico State and UTEP, the season comes down to how it fares against the stronger teams on the schedule: Texas A&M, Kansas, Houston, Tulsa and the Bulldogs.

But I just don't know that it's something Dykes is locked to. It seemed to work for us, and it makes sense for those loud road games.

Such a good system for noise control, New England used it in NFL after observing Tech.
