Today, I'm writing a check for $300 and pledging another $200 to total $500 towards the endowment. I'm super excited to finally make LTAC Trophy donor and give like I want to this endowment!!

The endowment was started in January 2007. The first payout to athletics was made for the '08--'09 academic year. The Foundation Board sets the percentage each year. The payout amount is based on the endowment's corpus from the previous year's June 30th balance.

The payout history for the endowment:

2008-2009 -- $ 981 for Athletics ticketing system
2009-2010 -- $ 683 for Athletics facilities landscaping improvements
2010-2011 -- $1,111 for Tech logos at JAS
2011-2012 -- $1,871 for equipment updates for sports medicine / trainers
2012-2013 -- $2,165 lights for soccer field
2013-2014 -- $2,473 to be determined

Total to date $9,284


Remember that donations prior to June 30, 2013 will benefit the payout next year - make that 2013 donation to the endowment NOW!!!!

My contribution just cleared the the bank. It was a little shy of $100,000. Reminds me of Bob Uecker in Major Leagues, "Juuuust a bit outside!"
