Failure of maintenance and inspection. Also mix in a little stupidity.
Well the fraternity houses aren't a real suprise, Keeny is kind of weird, maybe some old electrical?

A member feel asleep while smoking and the cigarette caught the house on fire. Unfortunately, the smoker died in the fire. I'm not positive but I think that a little alcohol might have been involved.
The Pike's house burned down and an off campus fraternity house caught fire(think ATO) and ruined a few rooms last year maybe early this year.
Don't forget the Pyro that was in Neilson my freshman year, 2008. Set the building on fire three or so times, twice on my floor. The last time he put a mattress against the trash can he lit on fire and it was the night before finals.... 700 young men wanted to find and tar and feather the son of a gun.
What about the great Cott fire of 2002?
