God Bless "dem" Cajuns! Let's talk about "separation" --- a term that I think was used YEARS ago by someone (don't even recall who) but the context was that we felt we needed a break from, and to break away from, the directional Louisiana schools and move forward. Well, it certainly rubbed 'em raw like alligator hide down in swamp country as they continue to say things like "how's that 'Separation' thing working out for you?"

Truth be told, we don't use that term anymore. We don't have to. The fact that the Cajuns, Warhawks, et. al., continue to throw it up to us with their flashy videos and what-not says that even in their mind, SEPARATION has already occurred, and they're just trying to close the gap.

If I'm a Cajun fan (which I actually used to be, until they demonstrated their inability to even remotely act like "theyve been there before"), I'd know that my institution has let me down more times than I can count, and why should I believe these grandiose plans are any different? Excited? sure. On the Separated-school's fan board acting like it's a done deal? You're talking about USL. You can get creative with a name change and some video, but at the end of the day, you're still ONE HOUR from lsu. They won't allow you to challenge them in anything.

Not sure how to say that in Cajun French...but you play with da fahr cher, you bond to git burnt up for sho.

Since we are the only FBS school with a State in our logo, and since that state is Louisiana, and since we apparently are allowed to interpret the word "technically" pretty liberally, we technically have a copyright on "Louisiana" so get a PR out to LSUA&M, ULX...

Our coaches don't bleed from their foreheads. We don't envy them like they envy us. Our uniforms look much cooler. And we have a higher density of pine cones per capita.
