NATIONAL TELL A JOKE DAY is TODAY, August 16!!! (1) Know why Tennessee school color is orange? So their fans can wear the same outfit to the game Saturday, hunting Sunday, and picking up trash on the highway Monday! (2) Know why the NLU Indian had such a red face? Bobbing for French fries!
National Tell A Joke Day.....okay, here goes: I was walking down the street when I was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked me for a couple of dollars for dinner.
I took out my wallet, got out ten dollars and asked, 'If I give you this money, will you buy chocolate with it instead of dinner?'
'No, I had to stop eating chocolate years ago', the homeless woman told me.
'Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?' I asked.
'No, I don't waste time shopping,' the homeless woman said. 'I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive.'
'Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?' I asked.
'Are you NUTS!' replied the homeless woman. I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!'
'Well, I said, 'I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my husband and me tonight.'
The homeless Woman was shocked. 'Won't your husband be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting.'
I said, 'That's okay. It's important for him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up shopping, hair appointments, and chocolate.'
Got to get this back on page one of the forum.......bumpty bump!!!

We only have to suffer through 10 (count 'em, 10) more days until BULLDAWG FOOTBALL!!! I AM SOOOOO BLESSSSSED to be able to look forward to seeing in person FOUR DAWG FOOTBALL GAMES IN SEPTEMBER!!! Never seen ALL FOUR SEPT GAMES.

DAWG FOOTBALL is nearly here!!! Less than two weeks away, time to get WAY EXCITED!! Exactly 4 weeks from right now I'll be on the road for the Kansas game. Spending Kansas week Wednesday at Will Rogers Museum and birthplace near Tulsa; Thursday driving to Kansas City and checking out some Lewis and Clark stuff. Friday the Harry Truman Presidential Museum; Sat morning the WWI Museum; Saturday evening watching our Dawgs blow away Kansas like a plains tornado!!!

Sure wish I could make that one too but I had to pick one. Hope to go east in 2014: We do one road game around football each year, hoping we go to Marshall, MTSU, UAB, one of the eastern teams. My son is going to NC State, he got a Civil Engr degree from Tech, masters from NCSU. He a DAWG ALL THE WAY, THOUGH!! Hope you can go and yell some for me!! Also going to Army, maybe UTSA. GO DAWGS!!!
