Scheduling announcement tomorrow

We have openings on 9/6 and 9/13 for Bama or aTm.

I'll have to go back and check, but besides Alabama and Texas A&M, I think North Carolina, Miami, Syracuse, and the real Northwestern are also possibilities for us those first couple weeks.

Not that it matters, but the Tigahs replaced Georgia Southern with Sammy State.

Would Tech schedule two money games in the state of Alabama in 2014? I know we did the tour of Mississippi in 2011. I think A&M would be a more likely money game than Alabama.

Not that this matters either, but it looks like ULM is back to scheduling three money games a year in 2014 (at LSU, at Kentucky, & at Texas A&M).

Yep. We have NO business playing Auburn again. We never bring our "A" game to play Auburn, and Auburn isn't even close to our recruiting area. Should've scheduled Arkansas, or someone else closer (preferably a B5 from the state of Mississippi, Texas or Oklahoma). This is a mistake by our young AD. He took the easy way out. Hell, Jim Oakes could have scheduled Auburn, and routinely did.

Not impressed. Literally ANYBODY on BB&B could have secured us a money game at Auburn. Not much effort went into that one.

I don't know what transpired behind the scenes so I'm not ready to cast stones yet but there are quite few others I would have scheduled before Auburn. HD is correct, we could have that game at anytime. I do understand the reasoning behind the money game. Given how quickly this game was scheduled it gives the appearance that not too many stones were turned before scheduling a team that seems to have our number. That said I have no idea how many calls our AD made.

I finally agree with you, maddawg. Plus, my guess is that the check is bigger than any other place, save Texas or OU.
