Where is Winston Churchill?? I am seeing Tons of Neville chamberlains on this site. This is ugly but not our " darkest hour" . Grow up and support these guys!!! Our d alone deserves it and we will be talking about Hunter, Dixon and hopefully a few other guys for years to come. Lets all whine and not support their efforts because we are all smarter than staff. This does not make my top 10 worst years and I never quit on my dogs. I am ashamed of so many of you so called supporters!!
No one is surrendering, most of us will be at the USM game -
But a duck is a duck is a duck...
I remember the crowds from 93, 94 & 95 in Peace's woeful years
I remember the crowds from late in Torbush's only year
I remember the crowds from Beightol's year
And I definitely remember the crowds from Bicknell's last year -
When it's costing you over $100 to bring a family of 4 to game - even those that have season tickets will pick the sofa, tree stand or church social over watching our offense that is about as exciting as watching paint dry
If I saw a "glimmer" of the light at the end of the tunnel, I could understand a rah-rah speech but we struggled big time against some piss poor teams this year
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Diehards within a 60-mile radius will probably attend USM. However, you will see a big drop-off in attendance from people who are 2+ hours away from Ruston.
I agree -
And empty seats, lack of ticket sales and decreased LTAC donations will be the straw that breaks the camel's back
It's not can we not afford to buy him out, its can we afford NOT to buy him out
ECU, Tulane and Tulsa leave next year
We probably get one OOC win vs NWST
You have got to think that USM will be improved in their second year under Monken and unless we draw FIU I don't see any GIMMEES in conference
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
I'll be at USM game just because I want to see us beat USM...I don't care how bad both teams are.
Agree only see one OOC win next year. OK and Auburn could get ugly quick and I see us losing big to ULL.
The main problem is that this team has not made any progress since the beginning of the season.
There has always been considerable apathy in our fan base. Not BBBer's - that's why so many are bitching and complaining. Win 10 or 11 games, meh. Lose 7 0r 8 games, yawn. I don;t like it, but until we can hire a coach who can stay for 10 years we're stuck. Fire Skip, who do you get? Some hot shot from Henderson State who as soon as he gets a winning season is gone. I'm all for Tim. Let's start a Tim Rattay movement.
Skip was a bad hire. We got him at a reduced price. You get what you pay for.
When Dykes extorted money from us prior to the Poinsettia Bowl, some of us didn't think we should pay it. The excuse for paying it was that it would raise the bar for our HC salary and even when Dykes left, we'd be able to hire at the going rate. That pretty much sold everyone.
Then when we make the Dykes replacement hire we shift the extra money over to the MBB coach and cut back back by hiring a "has been" who loves to play golf and coaches football out of a 20 year old play book.
A new guy every three years is a good problem to have.
