LA Tech has already dug itself a big hole. Next year's schedule will be MUCH tougher than this year's cakewalk.

Skip Holtz is a horrible fit for LA Tech. He's completely killing our once proud football program. My family and friends attended that $hit show in Houston last week, and it was obvious that this 2013 team has quit on him. They mailed it in. It's some of the ugliest, uninspired football I've ever witnessed, high school games included. Consequently, I know a lot of people -- including myself-- that aren't going to make the drive to Ruston for this weekends finale against Tulsa. I'm just not buying what Holtz is selling. Maybe he can get his act together in 2014......but probably not.

Ha ha. I'm in Choudrant with season tickets and probably won't make the drive!

No one's turning their backs, but thanks for the lecture. For the record, I am a season ticket holder, LTAC contributor, and dropped a TON of money on taking my family of 6 to Dallas to support the team, only to get $hit on by Holtz and the piss poor performance his team put on. I have FAR from turned my back; instead, I am making a decision not to sit out in the cold and rain to get fooled again by the Skipper.

Same here. I've only missed two home games this past decade and for good reason. Made the trips to Dallas and Houston this year only to be embarrassed. I'll make my decision whether or not to drive over to Ruston at 4:00 based on the weather forecast. I'm not making the drive to sit in the cold rain to watch Skippy coach our team when I can watch it on CBS Sports Network in the comfort of my living room. In all my years as a Tech fan, this is the first time I can say that I'm not excited to go watch our team play.

I don't hate Holtz, but I wouldn't sit in the cold rain to watch this team either. It's hard enough in excellent conditions. I might not even watch it on TV. But I'm a fan and I know there is always next year and hopefully we will find the games more tolerable next year. For those of you that do go... hat's off!! Y'all are REAL Bulldogs!

I'm not going because of Skip, I'm going to watch the Bulldogs. I get the points about the weather. I'll be there as long as I can stand it. My issue is with folks who have been saying all week, or for several weeks, that the team has quit so they're quitting, too. I had several opportunities this week to interact with some of the guys and let me tell you--this team hasn't quit and neither should we.

I am going, but I am not looking forward to it… at all. I hope they shock me though.

However, I expect more boring, poorly coached, lifeless football to be played with the added joy of miserable conditions.

I don't blame anyone for not going to see this team play today. If I didn't live a mile from the stadium, I probably would pass on a home football game for the first time in 40 years.

I personally never said the team quit. But I would rather spend my time and money on my own 4 kids than anyone or anything else. I can't count the number of weekends that my kids were disappointed because I spent my time watching Tech football on TV or traveling to games. Those are days I will never get back. So, again, thanks for the lecture. You keep pointing out how close you are to the program and how you see everything firsthand. Well, congratulations. Have fun in the rain. That's your decision. No one here will chastize you for that decision; you should extend the same courtesy.

I was only referring to those saying the team quit. There's a certain irony to people being pissed about quitters, then quitting in response to them. But you are right--it's not my place to lecture. We're all a bit testy these days, so I apologize if I came across that way. I mean, who on this board ever presumes to think they know more than someone else?

It's 10 minutes--this is Ruston after all. But, I managed to make it to Dallas and Houston as well. Thankfully, I didn't make it to NC State or Kansas, or I'd have to conclude I am a bad luck charm!
