I worked 18 years in the heart of Bawcomville. You have some type of superiority complex?

I once tried to explain the subtle, yet critical, differences between LR & NLR to a colleague from Fayetteville. She said that making the effort to distinguish between the two cities was "such a Little Rock thing." (Of course she didnt like it whenever I said she was from Benfaygersdale.)
I also find that people from NOLA proper dont take it kindly if I present myself as a NOLA native. "Oh, you're from Kennah? Well, dats out in da paaaarish."
I usually refer to LR and NLR as "the greater Sherwood area." So that solves that problem (but yes, things are different north of the River).
The best way to deal with NW AR people who don't get that is to just pick another town for them. Instead of Benfaygersdale, if you had said, "oh, I'll just introduce you as if you're from Rodgers" you would have made your point.
If you want to call a Dallas suburb "Dallas" I don't care too much (and neither would most people from Dallas or most of the suburbs). But Fort Worth is miles from Dallas both figuratively and literally.
Yeah it may be miles from Dallas but it's DFW airport and that's in Grapevine.
Being told a movie is "sold out". Guy in front asked how many seats were left and was told 28 seats remained. I walked up and asked for 5 tickets and was told they were sold out. Hate to say it Ruston, but my clan is headed to West Monroe I see the show right now.
I hate the term "rivalry renewed" and its overuse. A rivalry renewed is when you have not scheduled a team for many years and you schedule a series with a team/school. Playoff/bowl meetings don't count because that is luck of the draw and not scheduling. Also, after the first game of a renewed rivalry, each year they play after that is the "rivalry continued". After a period of a few years without playing a certain team, the rivalry can be renewed again.
Hearing or reading "could of" rather than "could have."
