So, what happened to HL in 2012? Seems Dykes/Franklin didn't utilize him any more than Holtz did this year.

He moved him back to receiver and rarely used him. Late in the season when players began to get beat up a little, Dykes stated that he MUST get Hunter Lee more involved, but he never did. Apparently, Franklin didn't like HL for some reason, and Dykes never over road Franklin on anything.

Wasn't Holley injured in 2011? So, when Creer was dismissed from the team HL got a shot. Would you rather HL got the carries over Dixon last year? Holley was back last year so........... Maybe HL is a good situational player, but not an every down kind of guy.

How so? What has Blake Martin done? Hunter Lee led us to a conference championship and a bowl game in San Diego. Do you choose to ignore our 2011 season like you choose to ignore Skip's time at USF?

I think Blake and Hunter are very similar players. Hunter got an opportunity and he did great, but the 2011 team was carried by defense and special teams (especially punting).

Good things happen when he gets the ball in his hands. The stats prove that. Nobody said anything about RB being the spot for him. He has been under used for two straight years. 2012 by an OC who didn't like his style and 2013 by a HC who doesn't know how to evaluate talent.

Still remember that catch at Nevada. He definitely was clutch in 2011.

I was recently reminded of something that occured at the end of that great catch...

QP ran to HL just before he was about to go out of bounds and kept him in to keep the clock running. Pretty neat play.

Hunter Lee stepped up MULTIPLE times in 2011 and was no doubt the heart of that team.

Don't forget the run before halftime vs Ole Miss. That run changed the entire momentum of that game.

Actually MD, you've got it backwards. Lee made a fantastic catch, on 3rd down and 13 from deep in our own territory, and QP pulled him OUT OF BOUNDS to stop the clock for us. Here's one of the original threads:
