I am only happy for change. Nothing personal as I have stated. Blinddog u make it personal. This is a business. She had a bad trend going. No one is talking about her first few years. She is not the first to be fired with a good class on the horizon. Business is business and she needed to go. If she never had a losing season then we not be talking
If I had a daughter who was being recruited to play basketball I would look closely at the coaches of the schools recruiting her. I don't believe I'd be too interested in one whose name pops up on search engines as having put regular beatdowns on her high-profile lesbian lover. But, that's just me. I'd like one who portrays high family values, where I feel my daughter would get good influence. But that's just me.
Good old Memorial Gym
I find it ironic that the two basketball hires Karl had input in may have been two of the worst possible hires made in Rupp & Spoon -
Karl just needs to shut about the Spoon firing, she was horrible and has taken the program to lows that are at the level of Lamar wbb or UTPA wbb
I will say this I was surprised that Tommy pulled the plug when the easy (& cost effective) thing to do was to let her play out one more year on her contract and quietly send her on her way
I think her antics and sideline mannerisms grew very thin with those who make the decisions and foot the bills, when you are winning you can be that way, when you are losing in record setting fashion you are going to be shown the door
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
I not only appreciate that statement but am 100% with you on it, I am sure that we can all agree everyone that high family values, a sense of family and understanding how important family is within a program should always be instilled.
That though has NOTHING to do with a persons sexuality so that being said sexuality should not play any part in any decision making process.
Don't shop at TSC either
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Bulldog Backer, it's not personal! Just looking at the record, then yes she rightly should have been fired!
But The cechsters had the same problems that the Men's team had but theirs was at the end of the season rather than at the beginning!
Bryant shoes not to come back, and Wingate didn't have her grades in order... both of these gals could have prevented us from all having this conversation!
No one seemed to realize that the Techsters had all the parts in place to get the Techsters on the road to recovery for next year with Wingate, Shelton, Frazier, Lulu, Jackson, Walters,
and a great freshman class coming in! And yes, TSpoon I consider her my friend, but not sure she could pic me out of a line up!
I have been folling the Techsters since Memorial gym and love the program and always want wahts best for it and even being blind, I saw it was so close to getting on the right track and now the Adminstration has took the rong turn in my opinion.. and I know there aren't many that agree with me on this board.. but's that O.K.
I don't have a problem with anyone that gets there butts in a seat at the Techsters game, we all love the program and LaTech!
You are either so ****ing stupid that you don't get how bigoted you sound, or you are so ****ing brilliant that you posted this craziness to simply provoke others. I'm betting on stupid.
You don't have a problem with lesbians. You hugged one. Good for you! Let's get you a ****ing medal.
Now, since you don't have a problem with lesbians, why would you not want one as a coach? Give your reasons. It has nothing to do with hate. OK, then what does it have to do with? Tell us. Lay it out. That way you won't come off sounding like the stupid ****ing bigot that you sound like now.
No offense intended.
I wouldn't want my daughter coached by a sexist, racist, bully, alcoholic, or sexual aggressor-heterosexual or homosexual.
