No, seriously. One of the things that makes this site unique among college sports message boards is that we make it a point to meet one another.

I can say with confidence I've personally met 80-90% of BBB members with more than 1000 posts. (And I liked all but one of them.)

I have never met a single BBB member...but of course I'm probably 20-30 years younger than most of you.

I don't know how old you are, but don't forget about Leon Barmore. He turned down big money from bigger colleges and the WNBA. I know it's a different sport, but Leon's loyalty is rare for any school.

Actually, former Coach Maxie Lambright was probably the first Tech head coach to spurn other offers that included more money. I remember interviewing Coach Lambright (for the Tech Talk) back in the day, and I asked him point blank about all the rumors that he had turned down other job opportunities to stay at LA Tech. He said those rumors were true. So, despite several job offers that would have paid Lambright more money, he stayed on as LA Tech's head football coach for 12 years, until he retired after the 1978 season.

Seriously. Weird I know but as many games as i've been to and as much involvement as I have with the school you'd think i'd have met a few. I'm willing to bet i've had some conversations with several guys on here but never knew who was who.
