because the most persistent rumor for years has been chick-fil-a, and no less than half a dozen people have inquired with corporate to procure a Ruston location...and a free standing one with a drive thru in Ruston would make someone rich.

But for a variety of reason I'm not going to disclose...it ain't happening.

You probably know this but, Chick-fil-a doesn't use the franchise model, but an operator/employee model, no equity is built into the business. The operator does get a certain percentage of the sales but has no ownership over the business

That certain person has pull and may could get it done, but I don't think he has that much. It certainly wouldn't be as sure a thing as you insinuate. There are two lists and Ruston is on neither one.
