No. The country wasn't at war, the economy was booming, there weren't any drugs on the streets, and there was no such thing as terrorism.

    Hey Salty,

Obama believes our country isn't at war, the economy is booming, there aren't any drugs on the streets that he hasn't tried or sold and there is no such thing as terrorism.

I actually see a huge drug bust as a good thing, but I'm sure big drug busts always make the other drug dealers angry. I guess we have Obama to thank for the federal government's involvement in the Delta Blues operation.

I don't have the answers either champion110 but do you really believe what you are asking? For example, are you going to stop paying taxes and donate that money to help these children? That's basically what you are asking of others. If you don't, then you too are putting nationalism ahead of the bible. My argument is really dumb because of course you aren't going to risk going to jail by not paying your taxes. But you are asking others to ignore other rules, regulations and laws already in place. I think we need to help those children as much as the next but there are processes and proper ways to do that.

I'd be more okay with bending/breaking the rules on a short term basis if I truly believed those doing so have true altruistic intentions(example - speeding to get someone to the hospital). However, I don't think politicians on either side have those intentions.

Except, and I could be wrong, but paying taxes is something one should do according to Jesus. Render unto Caesar and all that.

I am fine with paying taxes and I would gladly pay more taxes to help these children (and others). I am being very honest. My question has more to do with people following one source (the Bible) and touting that they are never wrong - then turning around and putting children back in a very horrible place. It isn't that they want to do this that puzzles me, but how they justify it, if they are Christians.

Some very conservative Christians like to always shout they are being persecuted, when they are not. They, then, turn around and do something that is VERY un-Christian by wanting to put children of God in a place of harm.

I don't think being born in the U.S. makes any child more worthy than those born in another country (ANY other country).

I know we can't afford to take in the world, but I don't think the whole world wants to come here. If we did a little more of helping desperate countries, instead of having to turn them away at our borders, we may find that they can build their own economy.

We are trying to stay a rich country by holding on to every penny, but that isn't what is in the Bible.

I want to state again that I don't have the answer, but I have not found one by anyone on here either. It would be nice for more people to say that they just are not sure what to do, instead of acting like they do and dismissing any other way to do it.

    Re: Immigration

We are putting our our children at risk by Obama and Holder's immigration/border policy and problems which are getting worse day after day. The threat is very real at our borders. Not to mention how this effects unemployed African American and families.

We need to do extensive background checks, but Tyler, how are we not putting THOSE children at risk by sending them back? Or, are you okay with the risk those refugees (and they are that) face?

    Re: Immigration

I support LEGAL immigration. Don't care what they look like, or where they come from, as long as they enter our country legally.

I also support getting much tougher, meaner! dealing with illegals. We are a nation of laws. Period.

How bad do you think it is in Central and South America? Even with the drug cartels - the only real threats besides the governments - they are some of the safest in the world. And then you want to reward families for sending their kids away through the hell you think it is? Their lack of a equal standard of living is not on us. We have given them billions upon billions over 50+ years to fight cartels, build shelters, give food, provide healthcare, and so much more. They pay lip service to each of that while padding their own bank accounts. Their people need to fix their government, not just "make the problem go away" by sending them to burden us.

Also, about those governments, they do most of what you want our government to do, and yet things are so "bad" there their people want to leave. They are running away from the government you want us to have. How does that not make you think again about left policies? (Not that our friends on the right are much better, just a different kind of bad.)

    Champ,

JuBru and Dawg80 express my views 100%. The young children issue, along the border, was merely a huge red herring to hide the droves of older illegals (voters age) from all countries in Central America and yes terrorist and criminals as reported by credible news agencies. It is a liberal power shift scam for Texas and Arizona period that O and his ADM/Holder knew about all too well ahead of time. Remember their theme and love is taking advantage of chaos. Though O is over his head and now disfranchised from the office these days it seems. Just observe what's happening around the world and country. He really cares not and even the Dems are wondering where his head is right now. He needs our prayers for sure.

    Re: Immigration

You were doing okay Jubru until that last stupid statement. Your friends on the right have it exactly right! Otherwise, as you point out, why are all these people trying to get here? It has been, and continues to be, "the right" that has built this country.

There is no "different kind of bad" on the right. It is all right.
